Nottingham Community Housing Association - Income Manager


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Income Manager to lead our specialist income team. The team work to maximise income collection from rent, service charges and other charges due, a total debit of £30m+. Rent arrears are currently 2.76%.

You will ensure the service provided is customer focused and meets agreed service standards, tenants are supported by Income Officers and our tenancy Support Team to access relevant services e.g. welfare and benefits advice. We work closely with other external agencies to access additional support.

Working closely with the team you will manage staff performance, identifying training and development needs. You will also be responsible for the recruitment, selection and induction of new staff into the team.

The ideal candidate will hold a Housing related qualification or equivalent and have substantial experience of working in an income management or credit control role. You will also have in depth knowledge of arrears processing computer systems. NCHA uses CAPITA. A successful track record of motivating and managing a specialist team to achieve their targets is also required.

An expert in this field, you will have comprehensive knowledge of arrears recovery procedures, welfare benefits and an understanding of the needs of BME and tenants with protected characteristics.
