New look e-bulletin and enhanced submission guidelines coming soon…

Share

We are only weeks away from launching our new look website which means this very e-bulletin will also be getting a facelift.  In addition we will make it easier for you to submit information to us for inclusion across our media platforms; website, Facebook page, Twitter and e-bulletin.

We want to assure you that we will not be tinkering too much with the actual content that you find useful and informative.  We will just be presenting the information in a different way in order to make it more user friendly, especially for mobile phone and tablet users.

As you can appreciate we get hundreds of requests on a weekly basis for things to be publicised through our various channels.  In order to more effectively manage information that is sent to us we are also working on some easy to understand submission guidelines and online forms.  Some of the things you can expect to be included:

  • Priority will always be given to things which are relevant for Nottingham’s Voluntary and Community organisations (this isn’t really new but worth a mention).
  •  A strict deadline for information submitted to be included in a Friday e-bulletin will be enforced.  The deadline will be set at midnight on Wednesdays.
  • We will reserve the editorial right to decide whether or not something is suitable for inclusion and on which channel it is included.
  • Due to the volume of requests we receive it will not be possible to give an individual reply or update to each one.  But don’t worry we will provide you with full details of how to report a problem or issue if you feel we have gotten something wrong with your listing.

Finally, the changes we are making to both the website and the e-bulletin will allow us to promote and feature a group or organisation each week.  Staff and Trustee profiles will have their own space on the website so the current ‘Face of the e-bulletin’ space can be used to shout about the amazing work going on in Nottingham to benefit our citizens.
