HR support service

People are your most important resource, but organisations cannot always afford a dedicated HR specialist as a member of their staff team. This is why Nottingham CVS is working in partnership with CA Plus, who have been funded to provide a free HR helpline and advice service for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire groups for many years, to deliver an HR support service.

The service offered by NCVS allows you to buy in HR specialism as and when you need it for a very reasonable fee. NCVS covers crisis issues as well as more routine matters.Your initial consultation to find out if we can help you with your HR is completely free of charge.  We will then provide you with a price for any subsequent work.  We guarantee to keep your issue completely confidential if we are dealing with a sensitive matter.

For more information contact us at Nottingham CVS on 0115 934 8400 or email hr[at]nottinghamcvs.co[dot]uk

How much will it cost?

HR support needs will vary from case to case. We will provide you with a quotation following an initial consultation.

The price will depend on the size of your group and what the specific need is.

Ongoing regular support can be priced with a retainer fee and transactional charges (activity or hours as appropriate). One off consultancy will be charged at a competitive hourly rate but the maximum price will be fixed before we commence the work. In some cases we may be able to offer you a bursary to either cover the value of the work or subsidise it. Applications for this need to be made through our sector development team.

Ongoing regular support can cover administration, staff handbooks and policy updates. It may also be appropriate where you want the advantages of a HR manager or officer for your organisation for a few days or hours on a weekly/monthly/annual basis. A time share arrangement like this allows your management and staff to have regular access to HR support in a relaxed manner.
